Although MO communities are prohibited by state law from enacting
residential sprinkler requirements, home builders are mandated to offer
home fire sprinklers to buyers.
The mission of the Fire
Marshals' Association of
Missouri is simple, to improve
the quality of life throughout
our great state.
We seek to accomplish this
through promoting a fire safe
atmosphere, by educating the
public and through
enforcement of building and
fire codes.
Our membership comes from
every corner of Missouri and

Legislators passed SB108 during
the 2011 legislative session. The
bill extends the prohibition on
local governments from requiring
fire sprinklers in homes, but
requires homebuilders offer them
to buyers.
